Purpose

This policy outlines All Care 4 You’s commitment to providing a workplace that embraces workplace diversity and inclusion.


Policy Statement

All Care 4 You supports its employees by building an inclusive, culturally capable, and diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve and public service values.

This policy is supported by the All Care 4 You’s Diversity and Inclusion Framework “We All Belong” and aims to create an inclusive culture that promotes performance and wellbeing of employees—regardless of family responsibilities, marital status, age, disability, race, religion, political beliefs, trade union activity, gender identity, or sexuality.

All Care 4 You is committed to eliminating unlawful discrimination, workplace bullying, sexual harassment, and victimisation through inclusive leadership and by promoting a respectful workplace culture.

This policy is also supported by the Preventing Workplace Bullying, Sexual Harassment and Unlawful Discrimination Policy.

Shared ResponsibilityBuilding an inclusive workplace is everyone’s responsibility. Positive, respectful behaviour and valuing diverse opinions are vital for a constructive workplace culture.
Accountability and MeasurementLeaders and managers are committed to outcomes by promoting inclusive behaviours and reporting workplace diversity metrics. Performance is measured and reported bi-annually.

Requirements

All Employees

  • Respect individual differences and treat everyone with dignity.

  • Contribute to creating an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

  • Be aware of responsibilities under the Preventing Workplace Bullying, Sexual Harassment and Unlawful Discrimination Policy, and how they relate to diversity and inclusion.


Additional Requirements for Managers, Principals, and Supervisors

  • Foster diversity of thinking and understanding of a diverse community.

  • Model inclusive leadership and constructive workplace behaviours.

  • Promote diversity and inclusion through communication and setting conduct standards.

  • Apply ethical decision-making related to employment and diversity targets.


Additional Requirements for Executives

  • Champion, lead, and promote diversity through inclusive leadership.

  • Drive performance by creating a dynamic work environment that taps into employee potential.

  • Adopt contemporary approaches to diversity and inclusion in policies and practices.

  • Know, validate, and promote diversity and inclusion statistics within the organization.


Definitions

DiversityEncompasses characteristics such as age, ethnicity, gender, intellectual and/or physical ability, cultural background, sexual orientation, gender identity, or intersex status. Also includes less visible aspects like education, socioeconomic background, faith, marital status, family responsibilities, thinking styles, experience, and work styles.
InclusionDescribes how an organization’s culture, values, workplaces, and behaviours ensure that individuals feel valued, included, and able to participate fully. It is a fair and respectful work environment with equal opportunity for all.
